The journey from Mafinga to Ruaha National Park is substantial and requires an early start. Mafinga is located in the Iringa Region of Tanzania, and Ruaha National Park is situated further west in the same region, though it is a considerable distance. The primary route would involve traveling towards Iringa town and then proceeding to the park’s main gate, typically the Msembe Gate or Jongomero Gate, depending on the chosen accommodation within the park or just outside it. The roads leading to Ruaha can be challenging, especially during the wet season, and often require a 4×4 vehicle.
